A FUNd raising few weeks for Team LNK !!!
What a busy few weeks for the LNK Team - Paul and Nic put a little bit back in... to two charities that are close to their hearts xxxx Bury Hospice and The Frost Charitable Foundation and help raise a huge £ 30k !!!
Nicola completed the hattrick at Sedgley Park Rugby Club organising their annual Ladies Day for the third year running this year the chosen charity was to sponsor a breast cancer nurse at Bury Hospice as patrons of the hospice we are always delighted to be able to support in any way we can - the day was fantastic, all the girls on top form a great time was most definitely had by all !! and a very generous donation of £ 5000 raised for the Hospice.
An early start to Saturday morning for the Dragon Boat Race for Bury Hospice at Elton Reservoir – Our first race was against our very good friends from Business Lodge with a 10am shotgun start an absolute thriller but we smashed it with the first win in the bag. Sadly not so lucky in race 2 – but we will take 2 wins from 3 just not enough to make the final. Although our team remain in pole position from the sponsorship funds raised with an amazing £ 2830 in the pot helping the hospice smash their target of £ 10k for the day !!!
The evening event was all glitz & glamour with the Frost Foundation Bellagio Ball in Manchester always a fabulous evening !! But this was perhaps the best one to date - After months in the preparation myself and my fellow trustees of this fantastic charity were ready to throw a ball fit for a king & queen the venue is incredible staff who couldn’t do enough for us & the guests. The food was fabulous, entertainment top notch & the guests looked amazing, the generosity in the room was absolutely heart warming so I was not surprized the overall sum of £ 22k was raised – we are totally overwhelmed with pride & joy.
Paul & I would like to Thank all of our family and friends who have helped support our 2 chosen charities over the past few weeks – giving back is something we treasure, we know that every penny raised helps to improve the lives of others, to support so many people with the thousands of pounds that we together with you - our family and friends, have acheived in the past few weeks is awesome, and we feel truly blessed and humbled. but of course in order for these events to be a success we do rely on your continued support xx so Thanks again xx
